In the United States, some figures suggest that approximately 50% of all workers have jobs that they could perform at home. In addition, the number of people who do work from home has increased drastically in recent years. You may not know it, but there are hundreds of companies that allow their employees or contractors to work from home. So which ones offer the best jobs? Forbes Magazine ranked the following workplaces as the best telecommuter-friendly employers.
Xerox
Xerox is a well-established document solutions company that employs close to 150,000 people around the world. In 2013, Xerox offered the most work-from-home opportunities in the United States, including management and research positions.
UnitedHealth Group
UnitedHealth Group includes a number of businesses related to health insurance, healthcare, and prescriptions. The group is also a firm supporter of initiatives to improve the healthcare system in place in the country and is responsible for a number of innovations, including health assessments done by nurses over the phone.
Dell
Dell is a leading manufacturer of computers, including information technology (IT) systems for large companies. They offer remote IT positions, in addition to business and marketing based positions that don’t require employees to come to the office.

First Data offered the sixth highest number of at-home positions in 2013 and continues to tailor its job offers and conditions to employee needs.

Humana is a healthcare company that offers insurance packages and health services.
